Nearly 17 years ago, I was huddled up in a small, one bedroom apartment in my hometown, West Chester, Pa studying feverishly for 2 real estate exams. Going to school during the day, working three jobs in the evening and barely getting by with my wife, Michele, and her dog, Willy Bean.
After passing both exams, I jumped into the world of Real Estate excited to find out what it was all about. I was very disappointed to say the least. A “close no matter what, client comes second” training system at the first company I joined left me with an empty feeling. Angered by this “turn and burn” environment, my mind started to move in a different direction and the vision of my company began to form.
Instead of the close by any means necessary philosophy that was running rampant in the industry, I started to develop a culture that was consistently focused on the client. This cultural shift, in turn, motivated my clients to become advocates for my business and expedited my growth. This also led to my first slogan “Referrals Through Performance” as the real estate market hit its peak in 2006 and my business grew with it. The Daniel Robins Team was formed as my brother, Joe, joined me in my quest to change the industry. "Our main objective is to hold our clients interests above our own and, by doing so, develop a culture conducive to long term business relationships.”
In 2008-09 everything came crashing down. My real estate business was severely affected but the “Client First” culture with a heavy focus on cutting edge digital marketing that was being instilled by the team, was keeping us afloat while many of our competitors were falling to the wayside and/or out of the business all together.
As the real estate market started to recover in 2012, 13 and 14, Annie Moretti, joined the team. Her marketing background led to doubling our growth and an accelerated digital marketing strategy. Within 2 years The Daniel Robins Team was in the vanguard of real estate marketing technology, developing unique methods for our clients to sell, purchase and develop properties throughout Chester County and a large part of Southeastern Pa.
I was recently named to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and just this year awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in real estate but I can’t take credit away from the large contribution by the team that surrounds me. I wouldn’t be here if not for them.
